Guitarist Stephen Mattingly has been warmly received by audiences as a soloist and as a founding member of the Tantalus Quartet.
Performance highlights of the 2013-14 season included Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez with Orchestra Kentucky and solo concerts in Finland, Germany and Panamá. The 2014-15 season includes master classes and concerts in Poland and the Netherlands.
Stephen enjoys a vibrant career as Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Louisville. He is a member of the Kentucky Arts Council Performing Arts Directory and has been featured with the Tantalus Quartet at major venues including Carnegie Hall, the Silesian Guitar Autumn in Poland, the Guitar Foundation of America Convention, and the Iserlohn Guitar Symposium in Germany.
His first solo recording will be released in fall, 2014.
